The ideal zoom lens
for Concert Photography!
Tamron 35-150mm F/2.0-2.8 Di III VXD
My experience with the Tamron 35-150mm F/2.0-2.8 Di III VXD (A058s)
“Over the past few weeks I have had the opportunity to shoot a lot of concerts with the Tamron 35-150 F/2-2.8 and what a great time it has been! As a concert photographer, a good variety of shots is very important, but I cannot always easily walk back and forth when I am on stage or in the audience. So this lens is perfect for that!”.
Ideal zoom range for varied shots. Because of the zoom range of this lens, I can go in different directions; I can get beautiful overviews, close-ups, and everything in between. From anywhere in the room!
About Eva Ruiten
As a concert photographer, Eva is inspired by the atmosphere and energy that surrounds concerts. She excels at capturing the fan's perspective, with recent images of artists Vif Sterk Sammer and Louis Thomason close to her heart. She strives to capture unique moments from the centre of the audience.
Ideal zoom range for varied shots
Because of the zoom range of this lens, I can go in different directions; I can get beautiful overviews, close-ups, and everything in between. From anywhere in the room!
I used to shoot with 2 bodies and 3 lenses, the full frame Tamron 17-28 F/2.8 Di III RXD (model A046), the Tamron 28-75 F/2.8 Di III RXD (model A036) and the Tamron 70-180mm F/2.8 Di III RXD (model A056). As a result, I often had to change lenses in between, which meant I sometimes missed important moments during the show, which is a shame. Although these three Tamron lenses are also great, it's nice to know that by using the Tamron 35-150 F/2-2.8, I no longer have to change lenses. Now I can fully concentrate on capturing these shows.
"No more changing lenses during a concert"
Incredibly bright for the zoom range
As well as the zoom range, I would also like to talk a little about the maximum aperture, which is F/2.0! Concerts are often held in dark rooms, so it is important to use a lens that is very sensitive to light; the F/2.0-2.8 aperture is more than perfect in these situations.
Conclusion
As a concert photographer, I find the Tamron 35-150mm F/2.0-2.8 Di III VXD ideal. The zoom range and brightness allow me to shoot from any angle without changing lenses, from overviews with the audience to close-ups of the artist. As a result, I never miss a moment and can concentrate on capturing unforgettable concert moments.
